I talk about Pinterest in just about every other post I write. Doesn’t matter if it’s a “Becoming a Frugal Momma” post or an “Oilfield Cafe” post; Pinterest will find a way to sneak in there. Probably doesn’t help that I spend an obscene amount of time on the app while my kids are playing or during free time at night (A.K.A. when I should be doing homework or something else productive).
One of my current obsessions is freezer crock pot cooking. I’ve found several pins that lead to sites with tons of recipes and information on how to knock out a week (or even two!) of cooking in one day. Unfortunately, I discovered this after I had already went grocery shopping so I have to wait until my next trip to try it out. I did, however, try out a chicken fajita recipe from this pin without freezing it and it was delicious!
Have you ever thought about where you would live if nothing was stopping you? For me, hands down, it’s New Orleans. I’m so in love with that city it is ridiculous. I have an entire board devoted to it. The food, the history, the music, the atmosphere…I love it all. (Well, except for how Bourbon Street smells. Eww…) I seriously cannot wait until we get the chance to go back, preferably without kiddos.
The biggest board on my account is titled “Laughter Makes the World Go ‘Round” and it is my favorite. I have almost two hundred pins that I consider hilarious. Whenever I’m having an off day or I’m about to explode, I go to the humor category and find myself smiling within minutes. I’d have to say that my favorite pin from this board is the NFL bad lip reading. Gets me every time.
The last Pinterest obsession I will talk about is getting healthy. I have been pinning healthy recipes and exercise routines left and right. (Just a warning: Not every recipe on that board is healthy. I wish they were, though!) I bough a kettlebell from Wal-Mart a few weeks ago and found a ton of great pins for free exercises. (I’m in love with my kettlebell even though it doesn’t feel like it loves me back!) Don’t forget to follow our sister sites, Shrinking Kitchen and The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans, for tons of great recipes and fitness tips!
